ABOUT THE CHILDREN'S CHAMPION AWARDS

The Children’s Champion Award was established in 2006 to recognize individuals and organizations who work passionately on behalf of children in order to help elevate their welfare to the highest priority in our community.

Now in its 12th year, the award has become one of the highest honors to be bestowed on those most dedicated and committed to improving the lives of children — and their families — in Northeast Florida.

ABOUT EPISCOPAL CHILDREN’S SERVICES

Episcopal Children’s Services is a recognized leader in early childhood education serving more than 59,000 children and their families in 14 counties in North and Central Florida.  ECS offers School Readiness, Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Marion, Dixie, Gilchrist, Lake, Levy, Citrus and Alachua counties.

ECS uses research and best practices to help families ensure their children enter school ready to learn. Our talented, dedicated teachers and staff work proactively with children from birth to age five and their families to build a strong educational foundation. It is a "whole" child approach — helping kids grow intellectually, emotionally and socially.

We are a stand-alone 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; we are NOT funded by the Episcopal Diocese.
